So 2010 is here and has got off to a blinding start with great albums from the liokes of Los Campesinos, Good Shoes and Harlem to name but three. Coincidentally there are tracks from all three of those records in this weeks Fodder (bet you didn't see that coming).
1. CNC - Magenta Ants (Draw)
This is a track from an album which has been sitting in my inbox for a couple of weeks now. How I wish I had got round to it earlier, it's quite superb. Unfortunately I can't tell you a great deal about it. The album is called "No Mood" and is been distributed through Draw Records who's website is all in Polish. Well worth tracking down though.
2. Breakage - Hard (Caspa & The Others 'The Police Take Over' Remix) (Digital Soundboy)
3. The Lovely Eggs - Devil In Me (Filthy Little Angels)
This track comes from the compilation "Five Years Of Filth, Music Versus Money" which as you may have correctly guessed is a celebration of some of the wonderful sounds which have been unfurled by the Filthy Little Angels label over the last five years or so. There is actually quite a few tunes I don't remember on here and I would urge you, if you only do one thing today to pop over to www.filthylittleangels.com and download it for yourself. Oh did I mention it's free!
4. Malory - The Signs (Club AC30)
This track come s from the new Malory album "Pearl Diver" which will be released through Club AC30) on 11th January.
5. Northern Portrait - When Goodness Falls (Matinee)
I had almost forgotten about Northern Portrait. They released a couple of good EP's back in 2008 and then fell from the face of the earth. Now in 2010 they return with their debut album "Criminal Art Lovers" which has a picture of my house on the sleeve... actually I just made that last bit up but it is a quality record and sets the bar for the rest of the year which is already shaping up well.
6. Los Campesinos - I Warned You Do Not Make An Enemy Of Me (Wichita)
From the new album "Romance Is Boring" which has really grown on me over the last week. An early contender for album of the year? Probably not because the new Fall album is just around the corner, nevertheless this is well worth passing through the turnstiles for. Los Campesinos are about to set out across the UK in search of young and unguarded flesh and will be calling at...

7. Dorias Barraca - The Only Touch (Club AC30)
Club AC30 swing back into action this month with two great releases. One is the new Malory album, a track from which is also on this fodder the other is an EP by Dorias Baracca for whom this is their debut release. It's called the "Handsome Melting Point EP" and will be available from 18th January. Quality stuff, sound great in a snowstorm!
8. Good Shoes - I Know (Brille)
Good Shoes return with their second album "No Hope No Future" on 25th January. I wasn't sure if they would be able to follow up their 2007 debut "Think Before You Speak" but they have allayed all my fears and produced an album which boots it into the gutter and calls it a tramp.
9. Harlem - Someday Soon (Matador)
This is the first track on the Austin bands debut album "Hippies" and if the first few lines of this song doesn't make you smile I recommend you seek immediate medical advice. "Hippies" will be released through Matador on 6th April.
10. Speak & The Spells - She's Dead (Robot Elephant)
"She's Dead" is the new and possibly debut single from London's Speak & The Spells. It will be released on 8th February as a limited edition 7" which will cost you a mere fiver to your door look very nice on your turntable.
