As I write this I'm shuddering with excitement. It's been a long Summer but now it's back. In about seven hours time the football season will return and York City will kick off what will be their most successful season in years against Crawly Town. Don't you just love pre-season optimism. The reality of the matter is that by five o clock this afternoon I'll probably feel like going to the station and jumping in front of the 1732 to Kings Cross. Anyway you didn't come here to read my thoughts on the new footy season you came to read my pointless drivel about music and download some good tunes while your about it.
Up first today are Death to Anders and a track from their new lp "Fictitious Business".

Death To Anders - Ghost Rock

If you cast your mind back to last year you might remember a band I kept banging on about who called themselves A Sunny Day In Glasgow and their rather good album "Scribble Mural Comic Journal" for which I seem to remember getting a bollocking from someone to do with the band for suggesting that it might be hard to get hold of. Anyway it seems that it's being re-packaged and re-issued with a couple of extra tracks on it. One is a Ulrich Schnauss remix of "Ghost In The Graveyard" and the other is an Asobi Seksu remix of "Summerlong Silences".

"Come Tomorrow" is a various artists compilation released through Blue Orange Records and available for download from their WEBSITE. I think it's being around for a few months now but it's new on me. Advertised as an international electro indie pop album it contains 11 tracks by artists from eight countries and I must admit there is now a bad tune on it. Now for the best bit, yes that's right, it's totally free to download and I think you should pop over there right now and do just that but in case you first need a bit more persuasion, check these out.

Lucy & The Popsonics - Garota Rock Ingles
The Magicake - I Was Dancing With Boy George
Clovis - Mundo

Last 3 are the most interesting bits I've found recently. Thanks.

  2. "there is now a bad tune on it"? Which one do you mean?
