Playlist 9

Well this is the week I've been waiting for. The new album by The Fall has come into my possesion and I've had a smile on my face all week. Tickets have been purchased for the Leeds gig in March and.....sorry am I going on a bit about this. I've been doing it all week, boring people stupid with lengthy ramblings about this fine record. It's called "Reformation Post TLC" and will be in the shops on 12th February. I think there should be a public holiday every time the fall release an album. I mean, who has time to work when there's new Fall to be heard. In celebration of this I've started this weeks playlist with the first track from the album. I've got a feeling you'll be hearing more from this record on this site in the very near future.

1. The Fall - Over Over (Slogan) At last it's here! This is the first track from the new album by Possibly the finest band ever to walk the earth. Out 12th Feb.
2. The Maccabees - About Your Dress (Fiction) Brighton's finest continue their quest for world domination in fine style. Out 26th Feb
3. Bong-Ra - Cochise (Ad Noiseam) From an EP called "The Kill" which Bong-Ra share with Enduser.
4. A New Breed Of Monkey - Trapped Under The Smog Of The Industrial Blanket (Self Released) From the album "Fiendish Gadgetry"
5. Lee Scratch Perry - The Wood Man (Trojan) From "The Upsetter, A Lee Perry Jukebox"
6. The Manhattan Love Suicides - Suzy Jones (Magic Marker) Thanks to Trev for giving me the heads up on this one. Taken from the bands self titled debut album, exellent.
7. Pull Tiger Tail - Animator (Young & Lost Club) New single.
8. The Queers - Girl About Town (Asian Man) A Helen Love cover no less!! Taken from the new album "Munki Brain"
9. The Pony's - Small Talk (Matador) From the forthcoming album "Turn The Lights Out" Released 20th March.
10. Lutoad - January (CD-R) About this I can tell you nothing. Fell on my doorstep as a 12 track CDR with a track for every month of the year. Just wait till February.
11. The Math & Physics Club - You'll Miss Me (Matinee)
12. Spotlight Kid - Electric Forcast (Club ac30) I trust you've all got a copy of this album now?
13. Bloc Party - Hunting For Witches (Wichita) From the forthcoming album "A Weekend In The City". Don't think I need to say much about this. I really really wanted to hate this album.... but I love it. Out 5th Feb.
14. Future Pilot AKA - First Light (Creeping Bent) From the new album "Secrets From The Clockwise". Out 5th Feb.
15. Hot Club De Paris - Shipwreck (Moshi Moshi) New single out 29th January.

    Thanks for most of your stuff, as ever, but pity about the Bloc Party. That new album is a genuine tragedy. These cunts are a lesson in the dangers of allowing the big-business hype machine to fuck you up the arse.
