Artist: Sebastian Leger (Feat Gia Melish). Hypnotized
When I first heard this, I was like, daaaaaamn baby. I thought I’d gone back in time to nineteen eighty six. This is not a bad thing so don’t get me wrong. A cool effort with some splendid “baywatchesque” drum sampling, don’t even get me started on it. Seriously don’t.
A thumbs up from me, for this catchy little number. ( Some good mixes too.)
Artist: Matthew Bandy. Sometimes
A chilled out beat with some funky bongo. (Dig the funky bongo baby). This tune has two sides though, it starts off chilled and relaxed before turning it up a notch, with some great saxing, Sweet.
Artist: Matthew Bandy. Do What You Want
A nice relaxed vibe from this, not a big fan of the lyrics though! At over Six minutes long it becomes a little monotonous.
Artist: Premature Wig. Place Detection (vocal)
On it’s own it ain’t a bad tune, but if you really listen to it there are a lot of sounds in it which to me are just not necessary. Sometimes less is more.
Not my bag man.
Check you later.

I knew this was gonna be a good one. It's always a good sign when you put a record on and the cat runs for cover. With a name like The Victorian English Gentlemens Club you're never quite sure what your going to get but this album is anything but gentlemenly. You know the sort of thing. Noisy jerky guitars, pumping basslines and a singer who sounds as though he could scare the shit out of Mark E. Smith. This is the debut album by the Cardiff three piece and follows up their previous two singles brilliantly fulfilling the promise that this is one band to be scared of. The album will be released through Fantasic Plastic on 28th August and you can be quite sure there will be a track from this on the very next Burning World podcast.
