The Rifles - No Love Lost

This year just keeps getting better and better. It seems like every week there's another fantastic new band with another brilliant debut album. I mean so far this year we have had moments of pure perfection from The Longcut and had our ears burned off by Be Your Own Pet to name but two and long may it continue. This week it's the turn of The Rifles who released their latest single "She's Got Standards" a couple of weeks ago and you can hear it on this weeks Burning World program below. The single comes in lovely pink vinyl and is worth buying just to sit and look at spinning round on your turntable. The Rifles release their debut album on 17th July and it is yet another contender for the top of the end of year lists. Eleven jerky pop/punk anthems each of which leave most of their peers sat in the shade. This'll still be on my ipod at Christmas.
