Record Box

It's been a while since I last did a Record Box so here goes.

Sennen finally have a release avaliable. It's called the "Widows EP" and is a seven track piece of pure wonderment. If you like Ride you'll love this.

Fridge are one of those bands that you just don't hear enough of. Avante Gard does'nt quite describe them but with song titles like "Surface Noise & Electric Piano" I'm sure you catch my drift.

Fridge - Ark
Fridge - Surface Noise & Electric Piano
Sennen - Opened Up My Arms

Greenspace are a band who have recently come to my attention. As far as I can make out they come from the lovely City of Newcastle and make one hell of a fantastic racket. They released a self titled mini album last year through Space Badger and I hope for great things this year. I'll tell you more as I find out.
Anyway they've got a tour coming up and I strongly advise you to make an effort to catch up with them.

January 26 - The Tanners, Newcastle
February 15 - Porters Cellar Bar, Bath
February 16 - Bullingdon Arms, Oxford
February 17 - Actress and Bishop, Birmingham
February 18 - Sumo, Leicester
February 22 - Whistle Binkies, Edinburgh
February 23 - Star and Garter, Manchester
February 24 - The Cluny, Newcastle
February 25 - The Vine, Leeds
February 27 - Meze Lounge, Newport
February 28 - The Hub, Cheltenham
March 2 - Railway Inn, Winchester
March 4 - Providence, Brighton
April 6 - The Red Rooms, Newcastle (with Thee More Shallows)

Greenspace - Marcel
Greenspace - Something

Right then, here's a few more tunes to keep you warm on these cold winter nights.

Splinter - Flashback
Thoughts - Kryptonite
Thoughts - White Light
The Electric Mainline - Do You Come Away
The Clerks - The Dissidents
The Clerks - Echoin
The Sweater Kittens - Suprise Me Tiger
Heads To The Wall - The Glasshouse
Heads To The Wall - Erase Today
8 Can Valve - 8 Valve Stomp
Silvertone - If I Would Give My Life
The Park Race - Hey Mister

Semi-Local York Band - I Am Jack (www.iamjack.co.uk) are playing at Fibbers, York on Fri 27th. They play fairly shoegazer'ish music - check out their website or myspace page and try 'Stockholm'. Just a suggestion but you like electric mainline so you might like these.
