Every now and then a demo comes along that smacks you right between the eyes and knocks you senseless. This week I've had not one beating, but two. The first came from Bromheads Jacket. Three lads from Sheffield who write edgy spikey songs about just about everything that pisses them off. Everything from mobile phones to being stuck at traffic lights while out to get a bag of chips!
Well it works for me.

Last Thursday night I caught the 17.56 train from York to Leeds in order to see The Fall at the Irish Centre that night. Upon passing through Church Fenton I decided to stick on the old I-Pod and listen to a few new things which had arrived. What I like to do is just pick out a random band who I've not heard before and this time I decided to listen to a demo by a band with the rather unimaginitive moniker of "Good Shoes". What a find it was, instantly brightening up the rapidly darkening landscape of Garforth and East Garforth.
The Morden based band make music worthy of anyones I-Pod and if you know what's good for you you'll get yourself over to their My Space page and have a listen for yourself.
By the way in case you were wondering, The Fall were brilliant.
