There are bands whose music just drifts over you and disappears into the abyss almost un-noticed. Then there are bands who grab your attention and from the second the first trace of sound erupts from your speakers your addicted. Sixer fall into the latter catagory.
So how the hell can a band from Birmingham be any good? (Only Kidding there have been loads of good bands from Birmingham, like...... erm...... oh well, I'm sure I'll remember later.)
Sixer were formed in 2003 and on first listen sound like a combination of The Sundays, The Smiths, Cocteau Twins and Slowdive. Zoe's voice just drifts around changing pitch and slapping around at every opportunity.
Anyway they have 8 tracks available for download from HERE
Apparantly there should be an album at some point too!!

February 24th - Birmingham - Bar Acadamy
March 23rd - Birmingham - Flapper & Firkin

Hello. I'd like to ask if you have those Sixer songs downloaded somewhere. They can't be found, their MySpace profile is deleted just as the one they had on Overplay. If it is possible, I'd be glad if you could send them to me at
